The last year has been an incredibly challenging one, with the COVID-19 pandemic pushing us all into isolation and making collaborating on musical projects particularly difficult but being able to keep working on an album like this one through all this has been incredibly stabilizing for me. My good friend, Tyson Ballew, and I have been working on this album for his band Cat Positive since mid-2017 and we were in the final stages of production when the pandemic hit. The album had already had a bunch of starts and stops since we started (there are 3 completely different configurations of the band on this record) but the pandemic was extra icing on the cake. Still, we pushed through and worked on mixes and I recorded bass, guitars, and vocals in my home studio while sending emails back and forth. Iām very proud of how this record came out and very happy I could work together so closely with such a good friend making it. My credits on this one include engineering, producing, mixing, mastering, drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and percussion.
